I am Mayur Naik from Mumbai, India.
I am a Telecom Engineer by education and a Software Engineer by profession.
I work at ITPL. Here we are doing some really interesting work in network security and protocols.
I worked in NCST as a Scientist in the CNIE division till November 2000. At NCST, we were working on GNU/Linux Localisation for Indian Languages, Network Management. We also administered ERNET which was the first education and research WAN in India. Our activities also included providing consultancy in WAN technology to various organisations.
I am deeply impressed by the *nix operating systems (especially Open Source variants like GNU/Linux) and the Open source movement. I am registered at SourceForge and am currently involved in the following Open Source projects: SourceForge provides a number of facilities like CVS, webspace, mailing lists, cross platform testing environments etc. for developers.
